The BUSINESS of Divulging Your Financial$
Dear Friends,
Did you know that as a REALTOR, the only financial ‘business’ that I need to know of YOUR financial ‘business’, is ‘what you qualify for’ and ‘how much money you want to put down for your mortgage’?!
Sometimes people have commented, ‘I don’t want my REALTOR to know certain sensitive information of mine like what my salary is or what my debt ratio is’, to which I reply, ‘REALTORS don’t have to know'. If you choose, that stays between your bank or mortgage broker, and your Lawyer’.
…And if you’re selling, then we may need to know a little extra financial business like how much is left on your mortgage.
REALTORS like me can also help you though, with your financial ‘business’ check-lists and estimated associated real estate costs if you need a hand; it’s completely up to you, the client.
So when you’re deciding which REALTOR to hire and whether or not you need a lender referral, or have already pre-qualified, I can assure you that if you don’t want to talk about your specific financial business; we won’t!
